Reinsurance pricing and analysis

Requirements:
Be on track to achieve a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a maths, actuarial science, or other highly numerical degree
You will need to have achieved an A-grade or above in Maths A-level, A-grade in Maths Scottish higher or international equivalent of this
Motivation and ambition to pursue an actuarial career
Excellent numerical ability.
Marsh Summer Internship Programme 2025
Our Summer Internship Programme is an 8 week paid internship providing penultimate year university students with an accelerated foundation to their career. If you are successful on the internship, we will look to offer you a position on our 2026 graduate programme.
The role:
Work on real projects with real clients.
Receive soft skill training and an introduction into insurance.
Within broking you will learn to understand all the risks associated with a particular sector and then work with a team to broker a deal.
As a Client Executive you’ll be liaising with your clients and understanding their business, to advise on the best course of action for their risk management.
Working on projects means that you will gain exposure across multiple lines of insurance both internally and externally, allowing you to build an extensive network of talented professionals.
Requirements:
Be a penultimate year student and expected to achieve a minimum 2.1 degree classification or equivalent in any degree discipline.
Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in teams and cultivate relationships.
Language skills are desirable but not essential.
Adam Smith Institute Summer Internship
Dates: Two weeks between April and September 2025
The role:
Learn more about the policy-making process and the wider free-market movement in the UK.
Engage in both research and operations capacities, working on research papers and blogging whenever they are not working on ASI research or operations.
Carry out office administration duties as instructed.
Requirements:
Be interested in and curious about the areas we work and research in.
Are a university student or recent graduate interested in politics, economics and policy work.
Become a volunteer at Citizens Advice
The roles:
Helping people online, over the phone, or in person
Raising funds
Researching and campaigning for policy change
Helping witnesses in court in our Witness Service
Helping the service to run smoothly in our admin and customer service roles as a trustee
Volunteering for Local Citizens Advice
Giving information and advice to clients; in person, over the phone or online
Supporting the service run smoothly through admin, customer service or supporting other volunteers
Fundraising, media, research and campaigns
Supporting the running of the charity through being a trustee
